Yes, cat related news today.
Sad news first- we had to put Sammy Jo down two weeks ago. She'd been eating less and less for about a week before that and eventually wasn't taking anything at all. Got really skinny and kept looking like she was going to fall over. I thought it was just another issue with her teeth, like she had a few months ago, but when we took her to the vet it was actually kidney failure. And there was nothing to be done for it. She was put down later that night. I don't even remember how long we've had her- 10 years, maybe? I think she was a happy cat with us, and I'm glad for that.

And the other less depressing but not exactly happy cat news- there's another one already. Yeah, all in one entry I'm gonna tell you about having one cat die and getting another. It's weird for me too. It was Lisa's friend's cat and they had to get rid of it because it started peeing on the rugs. I was asked what I thought about getting another cat so soon and I just kind of shrugged, but now I'm not so sure I want this cat. She's cute and nice, but...eh. I don't know. I mean, I guess we're keeping her since she's here and all, and I'll like her well enough eventually because she's a cute fluffy cat, but right now not so much. Her name's Diamond (which I don't like as a cat name) and she's a 2 year old gray cat. I only got to pet her before Lisa locked her away in her room and won't let her out.
Blerg. Cats.
