tortoisegirlHappy New Year, y'all. 2008 wasn't interesting enough to comment on.
Right now I'm focusing mostly on everything I have to go to go to Tokyo next fall. The scholarship essays keep asking about how this trip would effect my career, and what am I supposed to say when I'm an English major? I'm stretching to even find classes that'll apply to my major. I'll have to make up some stuff about culture influencing my writing or something like that. I just want to go to hang out in another country and learn another language. There must be other people who just want that too. But I don't know. Some of these scholarships seem really hardcore and it there's a good chance I'm not into it enough for them. I really want to go.
Even with scholarships, I need a job to save money for Japan. Hopefully this semester's schedule is more forgiving than last semester's and I'll have time for a campus office job. Money sucks, but I need it. :(
