Finally done with school! Friday's exams were both essays so my hand felt like it was going to fall off. Overall, my first semester at Temple was quite a bit harder than anything at community college. Maybe that's just a difference between a small community college and a large university. Maybe I happened to pick the classes that involved a lot of work. But I wasn't expecting it to be that difficult.
So now that I have free time, I watched two new movies on TV: No Country for Old Men and I Am Legend. No Country had me seriously freaked out. It was the lack of music, even any background music that did it. It made everything so suspenseful that even harmless scenes felt tense. And this one dude's method of killing people scared me. The ending reminded me of half the books I had to read this semester- really sudden and making me think "Oh, that's the end? So...what just happened here?" I liked it though. I Am Legend was okay, but I read the book about a year ago and I can't help but dislike the changes. And a lot was changed. The basic plot and characters are the same but the whole meaning of movie and the reason the main character is a legend is different. I like the book ending better.
I baked cookie-cutter cookies today but we had no decorating materials. It was actually pretty frustrating because I forgot how messy rolling out the dough can get. And I'm hopefully finishing out my Christmas shopping tomorrow. My dad is always tough to shop for.
That's all for now, folks.
