tortoisegirlI've started outlining the novel I'll be writing for NaNoWriMo, based on the move_your_truck drama.
I'm changing Rich quite a bit because he's the main character. He's not a pimpin ladies' man anymore, but he will have a love story. He's a conspiracy theorist and I have all these ideas for fun crazy theories he'll talk about. Here's the basic plot: Rich is a normal guy, but one day while he's walking to up the street to get some coffee he's kidnapped by some mysterious people. They think he's a spy of some kind and interrogate him, but realize they were mistaken. Rich befriends one of them (probably Jeff) and end up hanging out with them too long and accidentally starts traveling with them. That's how he gets into pulled into their drama, which is going to be a soap opera type thing.
Suki-She's going to be evil somehow.
Shaneequa-Is out of prision and looking for Simmy.
Simmy-I don't know what to do with her yet.
Skippy-A general in the Nicaraguan army.
Esmerelda-Dies.
Veronica-She dies, which is why she stopped calling Rich.
Jeff-Rich's friend.
Cliff-Has a truck. Needs to move it.
Dan-A very informative man.
Barbie-Pregnant with Dan's baby. Shaneequa's long lost sister.
I still have to work out all the couple pairing and the drama. People have to be cheating on each other, someone needs to get amnesia, someone has to be a traitor, and whatever other stuff I can think up. Some is definitely going to take place in Nicaragua among the army (the original story says it the Gualdupian army or something, but I decided to go with a real place for this one).
50,000 words in 30 days. This is going to rock.
