Something interesting I heard after work last week:
Two women and a man were, for some reason, talking about drinking your own pee. The man was saying that it's okay in a desperate situation and the women were disagreeing. Then the man says "But this guy on TV said it was okay, and he's English! No really, he has this show and he's from England!"
So there you go. Being English makes one an authority on drinking one's own pee.

Also, I still love that I can talk to people all over the world on a phone. At work I sometimes have to take orders over the phone and when they give their address I get excited if it's somewhere far away. Yesterday I talked to someone in British Columbia! I was seriously happy that they were so far away but I was still talking to them (even though I only understood half of what they said because of the accents and the guy laughed at me for saying zip code instead of postal code). I've also talked to people in California and Tennessee. I guess I'm just easily amused that was. Can you tell I don't travel much?

Um, the Firefox spell check isn't recognizing the work "okay". WTF, Firefox?

i know exactly what that guy was talking about! the british guy is named bear grylls and he has a show on discovery channel called man vs wild where he's put in all these crazy situations and teaches different survival techniques (one of which is drinking your own urine). the reason he's qualified is because he was in the british special forces and climbed to the top of everest so he's pretty good at survival stuff.

Oooh, is that the guy? I'd heard of that show but there's another one really similar one and I wasn't sure which one the guy on the street meant. Cool. Now I know who to watch for all the English information if I need to survive on Mt. Everest.
