Hey look, an update!

Spring break really did me a lot of good for getting back on track with my school work. The week before break I skipped a bunch of classes, missed quizzes and assignments...it wasn't good. But now I'm actually ahead on my work and feeling confident about it all. The only things I'm really worried about are my applications for Temple University Japan. I've asked all my teachers for recommendations(which I was hugely worried about- I was convinced they'd all say no), and now I've got to finish a few essays. I've got all the main points of my essays written out, I just have to work on making it sound pretty. I think I'm worrying about it too much, because I'm having a hard time just thinking up transition sentences and stuff like that. But there's not a whole lot left I have to get done.

I saw Watchmen over spring break and again on my birthday with my mom. I looooved it. I haven't read the graphic novel so I can't compare, but I though the movie by itself was great. I don't know if my mom liked it though, she didn't seem to want to talk about it while we were driving home. The internet keeps says that Temple's library has the graphic novel in, but I couldn't find it. I really want to read it.

I got a Canon Power Shot for my birthday! I got it working but I haven't had time to read the instructions so I don't know how all the functions work. Like how to review the pictures I've taken- don't know how to do that yet. But I finally own my own digital camera. No more relying on crappy cell phone pics. :) I also got a bunch of money for my birthday, which is convenient because I've got some overdue tuition to pay. Then I need to buy some new clothes.

See, I can't even think of a good closing paragraph for this entry.

I also saw Watchmen twice and loved it... I read the graphic novel, too. It's pretty much the same as the movie, except for a completely different (and kinda lame, actually) ending -- the movie's pretty loyal to the graphic novel.

Yeah, I already spoiled myself on the ending of the graphic novel, though I want to read the whole thing together before deciding which ending I like more. I'm so antsy to get my hands on the GN but the library's always out.

I liked Watchmen for its effects and overall look...but I felt like the plot didn't develop till like the last half hour? haha. The whole movie was like character backstories haha I would see it again tho
