I did! I actually did it! Yesterday I went to the tattoo shop and talk to the artist and made an appointment to get my tattoo. I thought I was going to faint walking up to the door. I have this weird thing where I don't like to be the only person in a store and this place always seems empty. I had no idea what to expect and I was convinced I would make a flaming idiot of myself. I probably did seem stupid but, whatever, it's done. I put down my deposit and I'm getting the tattoo next Monday. Gah, I'm so excited. The artist, Sue, is really nice and the other artists in there was nice and smiley too. She seems like the kind of person who will be patient with me, the girl who has never done this before and has no idea what to do. And it's so much cheaper than I thought it would be-I was thinking about $1000 (based on the estimate Julia gave me from the place where she got her tattoo, but why was I listening to Julia anyway?) but it's only $350. Now I can spend more on my laptop. Yay! I'm so happy that I was able to not be a total wimp about this.

Catie, I'm sorry I didn't wait so we could go together. I'd planned to go by myself for a while and I was actually disappointed in myself when I asked you guys to come to because I couldn't get up the courage to go alone. I doubt this will be my last tattoo and I really do want to get tattooed with you someday.

pas de problème! i understand how you feel, don't be sorry. i don't think i could have afforded it at the moment anyway, so you just do your thing. we'll def get tatted together someday.
