tortoisegirlPeople are leaving and the general mood of things is not good.
Happier things:
On Friday my dad and sisters and I drove to Rohobeth Beach, Delaware for the day. It was drizziling but rain isn't that bad when you have your bathing suit on. It only rained a little and it kept the crowds away. We swam and Lisa made a sand thingy. When we were swimming a small fish jumped near us. When we were packing our stuff to leave the beach, we saw dolphins in the ocean, close to the shore. For the next 20 mintes there was a parade of dolphins. They would swim by in groups of 3 or 4 at a time and it would only be about 5 mintes before a new group would swim by. Most were just swimming normally so we just saw the dorsal fins, but one was slapping its tail on the water and another was doing backflips. There were also some babies. : ) So that was very cool to watch. After dolphins, we walked around the boardwalk and town. The way Rohobeth works is most of the the hotels are along the boardwalk and most stores are in the town. We did go to an arcade on the boardwalk where I played a very fun LOTR pinball game that had a little Balrog that moved and growled when the ball hit it. And of course there was shopping. We went back to the beach before we left and saw even more dolphins. The whole day was good and I didn't get sunburn.
Today Colleen Fail had an end-of-summer/goodbye-to-college-people party at her aunt's house. There was pool but I didn't swim and cool people from O'Hara were there. When it got dark we lit a fire in the fire pit and listened to theme songs from old Nickelodean shows and reminised about the good old days. And there was talk of Lost and Harry Potter. Did you know that Lost premiered on Bilbo and Frodo's birthday? I think Lost and LOTR are connected. The tunnel they found must lead to Middle Earth. Yeah. Can't wait for the new season. Or the next Harry Potter movie.
