The prettiest patches you have even seen.
Aug. 30th, 2007 12:50 pmWell, they haven't kicked me out yet, but I still have to make appointments in half the offices of the school to work everything out. I feel bad when I use my breaks to read because the common sense part of my brain is yelling at me to use the time to make said appointments.
Intro to Theater class scared me a bit because the teacher had some people acting stuff out but the course selection guide said it was supposed to be a theory course. It is a theory course, but he has people act stuff out to demonstrate the stuff we're learning. As long as I'm not expected to actually be good at acting I'll be fine. Astronomy and Western Mythology are cool and most uneventful. Math is math and is therefore evil, but the teacher is nice and helpful.
Yesterday my dad and I went up to New Hope for the day so I can at least say I got out of the county once this summer. It's a town right on the Delaware River with a bunch of cool shops and restaurants and cafes and the like. Some stores had really cool stuff. I had to restrain myself from buying a ceramic teacup with a salamander on it and a string of wooden skulls. I did, however, buy a Beowulf coloring book and a William Blake coloring book. If I ever have kids I am going to track down that series of coloring books and buy them all for the kids. If any of you ever have kids they're getting literary coloring books from me. My dad bought Hindu deity temporary tattoos from the same book store where I got the coloring books.
We watched these huge carp swimming around in the Delaware River, them we walked across the bridge to New Jersey and watched the NJ carp swim around. There was also a little stream and pond in the town that had carp and ducks and turtles in it, so we watched them all do their thing for a while. Good times.
I'm so glad that Monday is Labor Day. No work or school!
