Yup, Malwarebytes was the program suggested by the guide I found, so that's what got rid of most of the stuff. Even after I scanned though there was something that kept opening IE pages every minute or so (then it would say the page could not be found) but that seems to have stopped. I didn't really do anything to make it stop so I'm suspicious, haha.
I'm always up for an Ocean City trip (or wherever)! There's a few weekends I know I'm doing stuff, but otherwise weekends are when I could go.
