Snowed in all day yesterday and today, so instead of being useful I decided to make cupcakes. I had a ton of leftover icing from making my mom's birthday cake last week and got a little carried away with the decorating.







Lisa recognized the Watchmen smiley, but no one got the 35 minutes ago one, and gave me funny looks when I tried to explain it.  AND I STILL HAVE SO MUCH FUCKING ICING so I'll likely end up making more just to use it up.

Watchmen and tasty treats just go together for some reason :D Or they don't, and that's the fun in it. I won't post these cause I was just playing around with the icing and Watchmen was something that came to mind. and most of them aren't WM related at all. I have this plan to someday made squid cookies that are shaped like squids and decorated with all those gaudy space squid colors. If I ever to that those'll make use of the omnomnom tag. :)

Have you ever heard about "Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes"? You use those flat-bottomed plain cones as the cupcake cup, pour in the batter and then bake. Then you could have the squid's tentacles coming down over the cone part. That way you just eat the whole thing, rather than having to peel the paper off first.
