I've had this laptop I don't know how long, a year maybe, and I'm just starting to put all my music on it now. I don't know why I waited so long to do this because being able to listen to a song just by clicking instead of having to find a CD is awesome. I know, I'm really slow on the whole "using technology for all it's worth" uptake. I'm currently going through all my Dad's CDs and ripping them to my computer.

I actually did something interesting this weekend! My mom's friend is in from Chicago and she's sleeping in my room, so I'm at my dad's for the weekend. Yesterday we went to the Cezanne exhibit at the art museum. I've never been a huge fan of Cezanne, there were a lot of works from other artists who were influenced by him that I really liked, so overall it was enjoyable. Super crowded though, and we had those stupid tour guide headphone things. I hate having to dodge around a crowd to look at art, but I guess it's to expected with an exhibition like this.

I had a bit of time to wander other parts of the museum afterward. I haven't been there in a while, not since I had go for an art history assignment a few years ago. My dad and his girlfriend bought a membership, so maybe I can use their card to get is free. (Is that how it works? I doubt the membership is supposed to be transferable, but do they really check?)

After the museum I met my mom and Julia to go to a concert. My mom's friend is in town to sing with a few choirs around here- she wrote a song about Obama and the election and posted it to YouTube and it ended up getting really popular. The Anna Crusis Women's Choir asked her to come to Philadelphia to sing it with them and last night was the concert. The group is all about social activism in music.

On our way into the city, Julia was this close to pulling over and jumping out the car to grab this tiny kitten crying in a doorway. We were stopped a red light and heard some meowing and right there was this adorable little thing. We've taken in kittens before to send them to shelters and even then it's hard finding shelters that have room. I wanted to save it too, but I know we can't deal with anymore cats. And to reveal my nerdiness, one of the reasons I wanted to go get it was because it was white with these symmetrical black marks on its face and it reminded me Rorschach from Watchmen (which to those who don't know, had become a pretty hardcore obsession of mine). I would have named it Walter and loved it forever.

Hmm, longer entry than usual. I'm getting better with updating.
