Scaaaared.
May. 13th, 2008 01:36 amI swear I'm the biggest wimp in the world. Right now I'm reading an LJ post about people's supernatural experiences and it's freaking me out so much. All the light on the first floor are on and the TV is on and the cat is sitting happily on the couch and I'm still convinced something scary is going to pop out of nowhere. It's completely ridiculous how much my imagination get away from me.
The rational side of my brain is saying, "Cara, you've never seen a ghost or a demon or a monster before, so why would you now? Just because you're reading about them doesn't mean they're going to show up." And then the whacked out side of my brain is saying, "Yes! That's exactly it! I read about a little demon appearing in someone's living room so now the same thing is going to happen to me and oh god what was that sound."
I'm also trying to finish a history paper so I'm alternating between scaring myself with the ghost stories and trying to calm down with normal, rational history. I guess typing this up is also a distraction method. This is why I can't do scary movies. They mess with my mind too much.
So now you know one of my fears. Supernatural stuff.
